Každý určitě rád vzpomíná na to, jaké to bylo poprvé. Existují jen dvě výjimky. Lidé, kterým jejich seznámení se sexem tragicky nevyšlo, a Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell). Andymu je čtyřicet, pracuje ve skladu prodejny elektrospotřebičů, sbírá komiksové postavičky, a co se týče sexu, je naprosto nepoznamenaný. Lechtivá komedie 40 let panic vzešla ze spolupráce nastupující komické hvězdy Steva Carella a úspěšného komediálního scenáristy Judda Apatowa, který tímto filmem debutuje jako režisér.
